Taking advantage that many of us go on vacation to beach destinations, today I bring you a very simple summery DIY: bottles with sand and shells of our trips ^____^
I know many people who like taking sand from the beaches they visit but, then, they finally throw it because don't know what to do with it... So: 1. Don't take sand or elements from nature if you are not going to use them 2. Use only what is needed (don't load your suitcase with 350 kg of sand and shells).
1. A glass bottle or ar; 2. Sand (if it's wet, let it dry before using); 3. Shells; 4. Rope; 5. Glue gun; 6. Label with the name of the visited beach/country
To begin, roll the rope around the neck of the bottle and tie a knot. Then, join the two ends of the rope and glue them to the bottle using a drop of glue. Next, glue the shell over the rope and cut the protruding rope under the shell (at the size you like). To help us entering the sand use a paper cone as in the pic. Once you have the sand inside, close the bottle and put the name label. And... your bottle is ready!!
As soon as you have sand from different places, you'll see how different they are!
You can apply this idea with different types of bottles, making necklaces, photo frames... whatever your imagination can create! Here some ideas that I've found on the Internet :)
